The central mechanic shift involves the character being perpetually rolled into a ball. Unlike traditional movement where momentum is continuous, players can only launch the character when they have come to a complete stop. This transforms level traversal into a series of calculated shots, reminiscent of physics-based sports titles.

How Does Scoring Work?

In a significant departure from the original game's structure, the traditional Rings counter is repurposed. Instead of tracking collectible items, this counter now tracks the number of shots taken by the player. The objective shifts entirely to achieving the lowest possible score, emphasizing accuracy and strategic aiming over traditional speed running.

Setting and Atmosphere

This modification transports the player into a setting where the time-space continuum is described as less rigid. Furthermore, the character's inherent "dark powers" manifest in an unusual way that is directly tied to the new gameplay structure. While detailed narrative elements are sparse, the atmosphere is rooted in the established, time-traveling world of its parent game, now viewed through a puzzle-sport lens.
