The most immediate change for high-level play involves the F2 assault rifle. Long considered one of the most difficult weapons to control due to its vertical kick, the F2 is finally receiving all available grips. This adjustment provides players with more agency over their recoil management, potentially bringing Twitch back into the meta for those who found the previous handling too restrictive.
However, it is not all good news for aggressive players. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is introducing a major nerf to Ballistic Shields. Operators with shields will no longer be able to dash through barricades. This change significantly slows down the momentum of shield-heavy compositions, forcing attackers to rely on utility or teammates to clear a path rather than simply bulldozing through soft cover.
Skopós is also seeing a substantial rework in this patch. To better align with her role as a proactive defender, she is being moved to a 3-speed rating. Additionally, she receives a melee destruction upgrade, allowing her to manipulate the environment more effectively. These changes suggest Ubisoft wants Skopós to be a more mobile, versatile presence on the map rather than a static anchor. These updates are currently live for testing, and player feedback will likely determine if these adjustments make it to the live build of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege.
