While the community has been vocal about wanting a return to Africa, the developers confirmed that the next map will be set elsewhere. This decision stems from current technological limitations, but the team isn't holding back on variety. The upcoming reserve is set to feature a diverse roster of wildlife, including a new predator and several species ranked above Class 5.
For trophy hunters, the highlight of the reveal is the confirmation of a new Great One. Unlike previous additions that might span multiple reserves, this specific Great One will be exclusive to the new map, making it a true centerpiece of the local ecosystem. Patch 9.2 is also bringing a long-awaited visual overhaul to one of our favorite alpine targets: the Mountain Goat. These animals are getting the Truracs treatment, ensuring that horns and trophy ratings feel more authentic and varied across every encounter.
Beyond the new content, Patch 9.2 focuses on long-standing community frustrations. The team is finally rolling out a fix for the Game Feeders bug, which has been a thorn in the side of strategic hunters for a while. Additionally, several broken missions in the Medved-Taiga reserve are being addressed to ensure players can finally clear their logs.
While the developers are investigating backfilling older maps with newer species, these changes aren't coming immediately. For now, the focus remains on polishing the 9.2 experience and preparing the new wilderness for its debut.
