Scheduled for launch on August 31, this update continues ZeniMax’s multi-year mission to bridge the gap between stamina and magicka-focused builds. The biggest shift comes via the consolidation of combat buffs. Major/Minor Brutality and Sorcery are being merged, meaning a single buff will now grant both Weapon and Spell Damage. Similarly, Savagery and Prophecy will now provide both Weapon and Spell Critical chance. For players, this means less stress about specific buff uptimes and more freedom to mix-and-match skills from any resource pool without being penalized.
Alchemy is seeing its most significant overhaul since launch. The system is being streamlined to remove redundant traits. Instead of separate potions for Spell and Weapon Power, new consolidated traits will provide both. We’re also seeing the introduction of the Vexation trait, which reduces healing done—a move that could seriously shake up the PvP meta where high-sustain builds currently dominate.
Even the Mundus Stones are changing their identity. The Warrior will now grant both Weapon and Spell Damage, making it a universal offensive choice. Meanwhile, the Apprentice is shifting away from combat stats entirely, now granting a bonus to Experience and Inspiration gain. This makes it the go-to stone for leveling new alts or grinding out crafting ranks rather than a niche penetration option.
ZeniMax is also ensuring classes don't lose their identity in this sea of hybridization. Since many class passives previously granted these now-consolidated buffs, they’re being replaced with unique utility. Sorcerers are gaining Offensive Penetration, while Templars will receive Armor buffs. This keeps the classes feeling distinct even as the underlying math of Tamriel becomes more unified. Whether you're a veteran theorycrafter or a casual quester, your build is about to get a lot more flexible.
