Nine Dots Studio is inviting players back to the unforgiving world of Aurai, but there is a technical hurdle to clear first. If you participated in previous playtests, you must manually delete your "SaveGames" folder from the local game files. Failing to do so will likely cause game-breaking bugs, as the new build introduces significant changes to character data and world states.
This beta phase is surprisingly meaty for a work-in-progress. Testers can dive into:
- A WIP Character Creator to define your survivor.
- Full Online and Split Screen Co-op functionality.
- The La Rescapée Region featuring over 10 distinct dungeons.
- New survival mechanics and refined combat systems.
For those who didn't get a key yet, there is a secondary path to entry. The #ExploreAurai Community Contest is running until June 22nd. By sharing screenshots or clips of beta gameplay on social media, players have a chance to win early access keys. Since there is no NDA for this test, Nine Dots is actively encouraging the community to stream and record their most brutal survival moments.
The focus here remains on the series' signature lack of hand-holding. With no leveled encounters, your success in these 10+ dungeons depends entirely on your preparation and knowledge of the environment. The beta ends on June 8th, giving you roughly two weeks to map out the new territory before the saves are wiped once more.
