Saroasis Studios is inviting all Awakeners to test their sharpshooting skills and hero abilities starting February 20 at 3 AM EST. This isn't just a small slice of the game; it is an open invitation to experience the tactical MOBA-style combat and scavenging mechanics that define this 3D anime shooter. However, getting into the cockpit requires more than just hitting the download button this time around.
If you participated in previous technical tests, you must completely uninstall the old client and manually delete your local configuration files located in the FateTrigger\S1Game\Saved folder. This is a "clean slate" update, and failing to purge old data will likely lead to stability issues as you try to navigate the Paleblight disaster.
How to fix crashes and performance issues
The developers have been transparent about specific hardware hurdles. If you are running an Intel 13th or 14th Gen CPU and experience frequent crashes, the team recommends using the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility to slightly downclock your frequency or adjust voltage. Additionally, an SSD is no longer just recommended—it is essentially mandatory. Installing Fate Trigger on a mechanical HDD causes severe stuttering and texture loading delays that will leave you vulnerable in a firefight.
As this is a Steam Next Fest event, all progress will be wiped once the test concludes. This is the perfect time to experiment with different Awakener builds and weapon crafting recipes without worrying about long-term meta consequences. Keep in mind that the test is restricted to adult users, and the age you select during your initial registration cannot be changed later.
