Maintenance is scheduled for Fallout 76 on Tuesday, April 28, to address a persistent UI bug that has been misleading players regarding their character's health and status.
The servers are expected to go offline starting at 10am ET / 9am CT. During this window, Bethesda will deploy a targeted fix for the status bar. Recently, players have reported that the UI would frequently display incorrect afflictions—showing debuffs or diseases that weren't actually active, or failing to report genuine threats to your survival.
In a survival-focused RPG like Fallout 76, accurate data is everything. Whether you are managing your radiation levels or tracking a nasty case of Swamp Gas, the status bar is your most vital tool for resource management. Having it display ghost afflictions can lead to wasted RadAway or antibiotics, which is a frustration the community has been vocal about lately.
Bethesda noted that this specific hotfix was made possible thanks to detailed player reports. While the maintenance is focused primarily on this UI correction, it follows a series of recent patches aimed at stabilizing the overall experience. Make sure to wrap up your C.A.M.P. builds or Daily Ops before the 10am ET cutoff to avoid any progress loss when the wasteland goes dark for the update.
