Bungie isn't just celebrating past victories; they're fundamentally changing the meta. The headline additions are three new Aspects that fill critical gaps in our current kits. Sunbreakers get Shieldburst, Gunslingers gain the precision-focused Crackshot, and Voidwalkers can now utilize Soul Siphon to lean further into their life-leeching identity. These aren't just minor tweaks—they represent a significant expansion of the subclass system we've been using since Lightfall.
The sandbox is also expanding with two new utility grenades: the Stasis Shatter Grenade and the Strand Slicewire Grenade. These additions suggest Bungie wants to give players more ways to interact with the environment and crowd control beyond simple damage. However, it’s not all buffs. The developers are pulling back on the Super economy, reducing Super energy generation from boss damage by a massive 60%. This shift likely aims to make Super usage more tactical rather than a constant spam during DPS phases.
Armor 3.0 is the other half of this equation. Six new Armor Archetypes are entering the loot pool, providing more specialized ways to tune your stats. Most importantly for the grinders out there, all existing Armor 3.0 Exotics will now drop with Tier 5 stats. This significantly reduces the RNG frustration when trying to min-max a specific build. While classic pieces like Wormhusk and Hallowfire Heart are seeing reworks to keep them relevant, the message is clear: the way we gear up for the endgame is about to become much more deliberate.
