Ghost Ship Games is shifting gears from hotfixes to major content. The headline addition is the Assault Pace Selection, allowing teams to choose between Cautious, Standard, and Reckless modes. This isn't just a difficulty slider; it dictates the tempo of the mission, letting you decide whether you want a methodical crawl through Hoxxes IV or a frantic, high-risk sprint to the finish.
We also have new tools for the job. The Trident and the Corrosive Sludge Pump are joining the arsenal. While the Trident promises high-precision utility, the Sludge Pump offers that sweet area-of-effect crowd control we've missed from the original game, perfect for melting the new Voidkin Drifter enemy type. These additions are landing alongside a brand-new Core biome specifically designed for the Ramok boss encounter, adding much-needed environmental variety to the endgame.
The R.E.P.D. upgrade system is seeing a massive overhaul as well. The 'Skip for Health' option is gone, but don't panic—health upgrades are now integrated directly into the drafting pool. Perhaps more importantly, all draft options now share the same rarity, removing that frustrating RNG gap where you'd feel forced to take a Legendary upgrade that didn't fit your build just because of its tier.
If you want to test the meta changes early, the Experimental Branch opens on June 11. As a final cherry on top, the 'FIRST RESPONDER' cosmetic DLC will be free for all early supporters. It’s a solid 'thank you' for those of us braving the rogue-lite depths since launch.
