This patch focuses on reigning in high-value units that have felt a bit too oppressive. The Hero Magic Archer sees a significant nerf with his ability cost doubling from 1 to 2 Elixir, forcing players to be far more tactical about when to trigger his piercing shots. Similarly, the Hero Knight has had his Taunt Window slashed from 0.7s to a mere 0.1s, drastically reducing his ability to disrupt enemy targeting and protect backline glass cannons.
Evolutions aren't escaping the hammer either. The Royal Ghost Evolution took a massive hit, with its Souldier damage reduced by 60%. This change effectively pivots the card away from being a primary damage dealer back toward its role as a utility stealth unit. Additionally, the Wall Breakers saw a 26% reduction in area damage, while Skeleton Barrel death damage dropped by 13%, likely to give defensive structures like the Cannon—which itself saw a 5% damage nerf—a better chance at survival.
It is not all bad news for troop enthusiasts, though. Skeleton Dragons received a substantial buff to their splash radius, nearly doubling from 0.8 to 1.5 tiles. This makes them a much more viable counter to swarm decks. Firecracker fans will also notice a projectile speed increase, aiding her in landing hits before targets move out of range.
With Fisherman losing his slow duration and Hero Goblins respawning further back, the defensive meta is shifting. These changes should force a more diverse range of decks as we move deeper into the season.
