The headline for competitive players is the fundamental shift in how stats function. Dexterity, often considered a secondary priority in many metas, now directly impacts weapon durability. Specifically, higher Dexterity now reduces the chance of being disarmed, giving high-dex Legends a tangible defensive edge in long-form neutral exchanges. This change, combined with adjustments to Snapdash mechanics—where pivot falling snapdashes now behave as backdashes—will significantly alter movement discipline at higher elo levels.
Season 13 kicks off on March 18, bringing the new Shadowscar Landing map and a hoard of dragon-themed cosmetics. For those looking to test the new terrain, a limited-time queue featuring the map will be available from March 19 to March 26. Note that the Combat Evolved crossover items, including Master Chief and The Arbiter, are rotating out of the store with this update, so grab them now if you haven't already.
Ranked Overhaul and Solo Queue
Starting March 25, the ranked landscape changes forever. The community has long asked for a better way to play team modes without a dedicated partner, and Blue Mammoth is delivering with a dedicated solo queue for Ranked 2v2. Additionally, Ranked 3v3 is receiving placement matches to ensure better matchmaking accuracy from the jump.
The reward system is also getting a much-needed quality-of-life boost. Glory distribution will now be instant, removing the wait time to spend your hard-earned currency on Skyforged or Goldforged gear. Between the Dexterity buffs and the ranked accessibility, this is one of the most impactful patches for the core gameplay loop in recent memory.
