The most pressing issues for competitive players involve the respawn loop. Currently, players brought back into the fight via beacons are reporting they are missing their standard white backpack, severely limiting their initial loot capacity at a vulnerable moment. Even more damaging to the late-game meta is a bug where players lose their weapon hop-ups entirely when respawning from deathboxes. In a game where a Turbocharger or Skullpiercer can be the difference between a win and a trip back to the lobby, losing these rare attachments is a significant setback.
Beyond the battlefield, technical stability is taking a hit. Many players are finding that their custom settings—everything from sensitivity to keybinds—are resetting every time they relaunch the client. This is coupled with reports of inconsistent performance across various hardware configurations, making the game feel less optimized than it was prior to the May 11 patch.
While the developers work on a hotfix for these disruptions, there is a small silver lining for EA Play members. The ongoing partnership continues to provide monthly rewards, including new Weapon Charms to customize your kit. However, most Legends will likely be more concerned with getting their backpacks and hop-ups back in working order before worrying about their weapon aesthetics. We expect a follow-up patch shortly to address these gear persistence issues.
