This is a Virtual Reality Port of the epic fantasy RPG, offering the complete The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim experience with unparalleled immersion. You explore the vast open world as the Dragonborn, battling dragons and delving into ancient ruins using motion-tracked VR controls for combat and interaction. This version includes the core game plus the Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn add-ons, translating the massive adventure directly to VR platforms like PSVR and PC VR.
This title is a virtual reality Port of the critically acclaimed epic fantasy role-playing adventure, originally released in 2017 for VR platforms. It offers players an opportunity to experience the vast, open world of the province of Skyrim with a heightened sense of scale and immersion unique to the virtual reality medium.
As a full-length open-world RPG, the core experience remains intact: players step into the shoes of the Dragonborn, a prophesied hero destined to stop the world-ending return of the dragons. The atmosphere is defined by its sweeping Nordic landscapes, ancient ruins, and deep lore, allowing players to explore rugged mountains, dense forests, and bustling cities.
The primary value proposition of this port is the complete reimagining of the epic fantasy masterpiece for virtual reality systems. It translates the entire core game—including its expansive world and narrative choices—into an interactive, first-person VR environment. This allows players to physically look around the world, interact with objects, and engage in combat with a new level of presence.
This edition bundles the main game with all of its previously released official add-ons. This means players gain access to the content introduced in Dawnguard, which focuses on a conflict between ancient vampire lords and the ancient order of vampire hunters; Hearthfire, which allows players to purchase land and build custom homes; and Dragonborn, which sends the player to the island of Solstheim to confront an ancient Dragon Priest.
The transition to VR fundamentally alters interaction mechanics. Combat, whether utilizing swords, bows, or magic, is performed through direct physical motion tracked by the VR hardware. Exploration is experienced firsthand, giving a true sense of scale when standing before massive structures or facing down an airborne dragon. Players can choose how they wish to navigate the world, whether through traditional movement or other available VR locomotion options.
This is classified as a Port, bringing the established role-playing and adventure experience to new hardware.
This game features frequent depictions of gross violence towards human-like characters. As the player you are able to decapitate and dismember humans, all these attacks are paired with strong blood/gore. The same gross violence can be inflicted onto multiple innocent civilians, with the exception of children who take no damage from attacks. In some quests there are depictions of violence to the vulnerable and innocent, for example, there is a quest where the player is told to kill one of three humans, one of them is a criminal and the others two are innocent, all three are tied up with bags on their head, as the player you have the ability to kill all three regardless of their innocence.
