This main game, released in 2008 for the Wii, is a crossover fighting/platformer where you battle iconic characters using a damage meter system; higher damage means easier launching off-stage. Its core features include retaining standard Smash mechanics like stocks, but it uniquely introduces powerful character-specific "Final Smashes" and a dedicated side-scrolling adventure mode called The Subspace Emissary, offering a narrative campaign alongside traditional competitive play.
This main game installment, released in 2008 for the Wii platform, continues the tradition of the crossover fighting series. It pits characters from various gaming universes against each other in dynamic, stage-based combat scenarios. The core objective deviates from traditional health bars; instead, players focus on increasing an opponent's damage percentage. As this percentage rises, the character becomes more susceptible to being launched off the boundaries of the stage, resulting in a lost stock.
The fundamental mechanics are retained from previous entries, including the use of limited lives (stocks), timed match options, and the signature high-impact Smash-style attacks. The game blends accessible platforming movement with competitive fighting mechanics.
A significant mechanical evolution introduced in this title is the inclusion of Final Smashes. These are powerful, character-specific super attacks that can dramatically turn the tide of a battle once a specific item is acquired during gameplay. These cinematic moves offer a high-risk, high-reward element to the standard fighting mechanics.
Beyond the traditional versus fighting, this version features a substantial single-player experience known as The Subspace Emissary. This is a dedicated adventure mode structured as a side-scrolling platformer. Players navigate various stages, battling enemies and bosses, and unlocking new characters and trophies as they progress through an overarching narrative centered on an encroaching dimensional threat.
The atmosphere of the game is characterized by its vibrant, crossover nature, bringing together characters from numerous franchises into one unified roster. While the primary focus remains on fast-paced, accessible fighting, the inclusion of the adventure mode provides a narrative context for the character interactions and world exploration.
As a main release title, this game does not feature any downloadable content (DLC) or expansions released post-launch. The content available at the time of its release is the complete package.
The content of this game is suitable for persons aged 12 years and over only. It contains: Non realistic looking violence towards human characters - Violence in a sporting context This game allows the player to interact with other players ONLINE

Sonic Duel is a Super Smash Bros. Brawl mod, which transforms the well known Nintendo game to a almost completely different title. With various maps and soundtracks from the world of the blue speedster, this mod takes Brawl to a completely different league.

This version of WarioWare Inc. has built in mechanics to avoid camping on the top platforms, a main complaint of the original competitive version of the stage. The two platforms share a duration, that recovers over time. Standing on them chips away that duration, landing makes them lose a big chunk of duration. If the duration is fully exhausted, the platform will blink and disappear, respawning only after a while. It's not compatible on the get go with Warioware reskins, as the stage PAC file has different ids and contains the "Stage Trap Data Table" (STDT), which lists all the values used in the mechanic to be modified easily for experimentation. It uses its own module and WarioWare's soundbank. The stage matches Warioland, the P+ 3.0 version.
