Several mechanical enhancements distinguish this version from its base game, focusing on modernizing the combat flow:

• The game incorporates Juggling mechanics, allowing for extended combos against airborne opponents.
• Players can recover from being hit by pressing the jump button immediately upon landing, a feature similar to mechanics seen in *Streets of Rage 4*.
• Movement options are varied: F. Norris and Gal possess the ability to change direction while running, whereas Ricardo utilizes a Dash instead of a standard run.
• The command input for the standard run (f, f) has been made more sensitive.
