An update to Smash Remix which adds new characters, namely Ebisumaru from the Goemon series, Banjo & Kazooie and even Dragon King, from Dragon King: The Fighting Game, a cancelled game which became Super Smash Bros, along with many new features like modes, options, stages and items.

The fourth update to Smash Remix adds Goemon from the Mystical Ninja/Goemon franchise to the roster, along with new stages and features. Two new playable characters from the Star Fox series were added: Slippy Toad and Peppy Hare.

The second update to Smash Remix brings Sheik as a new playable character, along with many new stages and features.

The first post-beta update for Smash Remix added Sonic the Hedgehog (and Classic Sonic) as a new playable character, new stages (including some based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, among others) and new features and modes like the Home Run Contest.
