What is the core premise of this expansion?

The story centers on Cole's desperate race against time to find a cure before he fully succumbs to his vampiric nature by dawn. After being turned, Cole must hunt down the legendary weapon, the Barbed Cross, rumored to have been used by Father Ignatius to defeat Bloody Mary centuries prior. This quest involves battling Mary's growing legion of vampire followers who are using Pyre Night as cover to hunt civilians.

How does the gameplay differ from the main series?

A significant departure from the standard experience is the removal of the morality system. Due to Cole's temporary state as a vampire, the traditional Karma choices are absent from missions. Instead, the focus shifts entirely to utilizing new, vampiric abilities. Players gain access to a fresh arsenal of powers themed around the undead, providing a different tactical approach to combat and traversal within the familiar New Marais environment.

New Powers and Mechanics

As a vampire, Cole gains unique powers that replace his standard electrical abilities. These new powers are central to navigating the story and engaging in combat.
