Setting and Narrative Premise

The story unfolds in the year 2102, twelve years after the events of the first installment. The setting centers on Alordesh (a region corresponding to modern-day Bangladesh), a member state of the Oceania Cooperative Union (OCU). Following periods of rapid industrialization fueled by conflict, Alordesh experiences economic decline, leading to significant anti-OCU sentiment and ultimately, a military coup d'état in 2102 aimed at securing independence.

Players follow the intertwined paths of three key individuals: Corporal Ash Faruk, Captain Thomas Norland, and intelligence officer Lisa Stanley. As the coup erupts, these characters and their respective military units—the Muddy Otters and Dull Stags—are thrust into the ensuing chaos, attempting to survive, evacuate, and uncover the larger forces manipulating the conflict, including the involvement of a mysterious third party and a device codenamed "FENRIR."
