This 2004 platform game forces Crash Bandicoot into an uneasy partnership with his nemesis, Dr. Cortex, to face The Evil Twins. Core gameplay retains Crash's signature spin and jump moves, but the unique mechanic involves utilizing Cortex on a different plane; you can throw him to access new areas or use him as a hammer against foes. The comedy stems from their constant conflict while solving puzzles across various levels. This main title offers no DLC or expansions.
This platform adventure, released in 2004, represents the fifth mainline entry in its series, available across PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Nintendo GameCube platforms. The narrative begins three years after a previous conflict, finding the antagonist Doctor Neo Cortex and Uka Uka stranded in the Antarctic. The central plot is triggered when N. Sanity Island comes under threat from a sinister duo known as The Evil Twins. This crisis forces the protagonist, Crash Bandicoot, into a reluctant and necessary partnership with his arch-nemesis and creator, Dr. Neo Cortex, as the twins seek revenge against the doctor.
The fundamental experience centers on 3D platforming, where players control Crash executing his established moveset, including the trademark spin attack, double jump, and body slam maneuvers. The primary mechanical departure from previous titles is the mandatory cooperation between Crash and Dr. Cortex.
The originality of this installment stems from the dual-character system where both Crash and Cortex exist on the same screen but operate on separate dimensional planes. This separation allows for unique traversal and puzzle-solving opportunities. Crash can utilize Cortex strategically, such as throwing him across gaps that Crash cannot reach independently, or employing Cortex as a temporary offensive tool, using him like a hammer to strike enemies. The continuous, often conflicting, interactions between the hero and the villain drive many of the game's comedic situations and level designs.
The game heavily emphasizes the comedic tension arising from the forced alliance between the hero and the villain. This dynamic generates numerous humorous scenarios as the mismatched pair navigates the challenges presented by The Evil Twins.
As a main game release, this title does not feature any downloadable content (DLC) or standalone expansions.

Crash Twinsanity 3D, not to be confused with another mobile Crash game, Crash Twinsanity, features traditional Crash gameplay as players run through levels collecting Wumpa fruit, breaking crates and dodging bottomless pits in order to save the world from the Evil Twins. Levels can be played as standard or in time-trial mode, where they are timed and given a rank depending on how quickly they completed the level. Unlike the console game and previous mobile game, Crash does not team up with Cortex in this game.

Crash Twinsanity is a mobile game based on the console game of the same name. The game shares the same story of the console version, with Crash and Dr Neo Cortex teaming up to save the world from the Evil Twins. The gameplay is centred around the sections of the original game where Crash has to protect Cortex from hazards by jumping on switches before Cortex collides with the hazard. The game includes 6 levels.
