This 1982 Port of the arcade shooter challenges you to manage limited bullets while hitting targets across three scrolling rows. Uniquely, missed ducks descend to steal your ammo, demanding precision. Completing rounds requires destroying all targets and a spinning wheel above. A distinct bonus round involves shooting a reversing white bear. Difficulty scales by increasing threat targets and reducing ammo pickups, ending the game if you run out of shots.
The primary objective requires players to shoot at various targets scrolling across three alternating rows while carefully avoiding the depletion of their ammunition supply. These targets include rabbits, ducks, and owls, interspersed with specific bonus items. A critical element involves managing the threat posed by the duck targets: if a duck crosses the bottom row without being shot, it becomes animated and descends toward the player, capable of consuming some of the player's bullets upon reaching the screen's edge.
Strategic target selection is necessary, as successfully hitting certain objects yields rewards such as extra points or additional bullets. Furthermore, a static element must be addressed each round: a spinning wheel with eight pipes situated above the moving targets. All pipes and targets must be destroyed to complete the stage.
At the end of each standard round, players receive bonus points calculated based on the quantity of unused bullets remaining. The game concludes immediately if the player runs out of ammunition.
Following the completion of a standard wave, players engage in a distinct bonus round. In this segment, a large white bear carrying a target walks across the screen. Each successful shot causes the bear to rear up momentarily before quickly reversing direction and continuing its traverse. The objective is to accumulate as many hits as possible before the bear escapes the screen boundaries. As the game progresses into later levels, the difficulty scales, often introducing multiple bears simultaneously during this bonus phase.
Higher levels introduce significant adjustments to the target distribution. Players will encounter a greater frequency of the problematic duck targets, while the availability of targets that grant extra ammunition decreases. This shift places a higher premium on accurate shooting and efficient bullet conservation, as resource management becomes the defining factor for survival.
