As a classic 1988 main game, Blaster Master blends shooter, platform, and adventure genres. You play as Jason, trapped underground, primarily piloting the armored Metal Attacker vehicle for top-down and side-scrolling combat against massive subterranean creatures. A key feature is the forced shift to on-foot exploration with limited firepower if your vehicle is destroyed, demanding quick adaptation to survive the maze-like caverns.
However, the vehicle is susceptible to damage. If the Metal Attacker is destroyed, the player is forced to continue on foot as the protagonist, Jason, armed only with a standard blaster. While on foot, the perspective shifts, and the player must rely on precise movement and limited firepower to survive until they can locate a new vehicle upgrade or repair station.
This main game release does not feature any additional downloadable content (DLC) or expansions.
This title has been made available across several platforms over its history, including the original Nintendo Entertainment System, the Family Computer, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and Wii U.

A straight port of Blaster Master (NES) for the SNES.

Unlike most Metroid hacks that use the original Metroid as the basis, this Metroid hack is a complete overhaul of the game Blaster Master for NES. Guide Samus on this new journey as she crashes on an unknown planet, then quickly begins to realize the familiarity of the atmosphere. As always, enjoy and feel free to improve!

Blaster Master: Pimp your Ride, is an assembly hack for the NES platformer Blaster Master. Changes to most of the areas are minor save for areas 1 and 2 tank section, which are re-done. The changes are made to utilize the full effect of the ASM hack, and premise of this hack which is the 8 new additional upgrades the tank can get. Yes, 8 new upgrades. That means the game has a total of 15 upgrades in all, and almost all of them are going to be needed to finish the game. Along with that are some other ASM changes, one that would need explaining is the gun powerup system. Instead of one gun unit equaling one level, you must collect many gun units to raise you gun power. The upside is that you do not lose your gun level if you get hit or die. This means that any powerup you find will not be wasteful.
