The World of the Reactor

The setting plunges players into a post-human era dominated by powerful entities known as the Trusts. These organizations control the last remaining Reactor—the source of resurrection, energy, and light—and consequently, the whole world along with it. Players can choose to align themselves with the Trusts, working as paid enforcers, or become a Freelancer, operating outside the established order. In this city, life is cheap, but the ability to return from death is costly. Freelancers often seek power, wealth, or even world-altering change, navigating a landscape where survival requires constant vigilance.

Core Gameplay Mechanics: Simultaneous Turns

What sets this tactical experience apart is its turn structure. Combat unfolds over four distinct action phases, executed simultaneously by both teams within a 20-second window for decision-making each turn:

• Prep: Players select an initial setup or buff action.
• Dash: A short, immediate repositioning action occurs.
• Blast: The primary offensive or impactful action is executed.
• Move: A standard movement action occurs last.

A critical constraint is that players cannot execute a Move action after performing a Dash. The phases are revealed sequentially: Prep and Blast actions are shown individually to illustrate their effects, while Dash and Move actions are resolved simultaneously, demanding players anticipate where their opponents will end up.

What makes this game unique in the strategy genre?

The game’s defining feature is its simultaneous turn resolution. Unlike traditional turn-based games where actions are strictly sequential, here, every player commits their entire sequence of actions (Prep, Dash, Blast, Move) before seeing what the enemy has chosen. Success hinges on reading the opponent's likely intentions and positioning your team to counter their predicted moves, turning every engagement into a high-speed game of prediction and counter-prediction.
