It's an average Saturday afternoon. You just got your paycheck from your degrading part time cashier job. A whopping 55 dollars and 62 cents. With your new found riches, you decide to hit up some local garage sales to see if you can get a good deal on any retro games. These relics, forgotten by time, remind you of a simpler world. A world of play, of laughter, joy, excitement. Concepts that are becoming more and more unfamiliar to you with each passing day that you waste away at that fucking cash register. You climb into your beat up 2007 Saturn Ion with the rear bumper held on by ductape, and drive, stopping at each location to see what they have to offer. Clothes, books, kids toys, but no games. This average Saturday afternoon has now devolved into a disappointing Saturday evening. With the orange glow of the setting sun enveloping you in despondency, you decide to make one last stop before calling it a day. You step out of the car, hopes lower than ever, to see more of the same. Tables of neatly folded clothes, boxes of old VHS tapes, dusty dinnerware, miscellaneous knick-knacks. As you're heading back to the car, something out of the corner of your eye catches your attention. A lone Playstation 1 game, resting atop a plastic tote full of bed sheets. With the glare of the sun reflecting off of its plastic jewel case, you can't quite make out what game it is, but you can tell it's a 3 disc game by the thickness of the case. You wonder which game it could be. Alone in the Dark? Final Fantasy? Chrono Cross? Curiosity now at its peak, you find yourself reaching for the alluring game. Your curiosity has now twisted into total confusion. Now holding the game in your cold, clammy hands, you read the title, speaking it out loud. "Minecraft: Playstation Edition". As these words leave your lips, you feel a chill run down your spine. "How can this be?", you think to yourself. "Minecraft wasn't created until 2009. By then, even the Playstation 3 was already 3 years old. This is impossible. Surely this is a fake, or a homebrew, or...something?" Flipping the game over, you take a gander at the rest of the case. At first glance, all appears to be normal. It has a rating, a barcode, gameplay screenshots, even a SLUS number. But upon further inspection, you notice the text on the back of the case. It's not English. In fact, it's no language that you've ever seen before, to your recollection. Strange, indeed. You tear your eyes away from the case. It's getting dark out. The owners of the house have begun packing up their unsold items, and most of the customers have gone home. You glance back down at the game to see the price sticker. $15. "Should I?", you ponder. 15 dollars is a sizeable amount for someone in your position. Why spend this much for something that might not even work? But you can't just let something this unusual go, you have to know what it is or it will haunt you for the rest of your life. For the first time, you open the case. You see the first disc: Overworld. Next to it appears to be the game manual. You open it, but the pages are all torn out. "Why would someone do this?" Shoving the thought aside, you close the empty housing of what presumably once was an instruction booklet, and open the second compartment of the case, revealing the other two discs: The End, and The Slip. "The Slip? Is that supposed to be The Nether?" Shrugging off your confusion, you question the integrity of the game. All the discs are there, but in what condition? You check the shiny, black underside of each disc for scratches, but they are minimal. You take one last look at your surroundings. Nobody has noticed you. In what is not your proudest moment, you close the case, shove it into the pocket of your hoodie, and as you do, you feel a sudden sense that someone or something is watching you. You spare a quick glance over your shoulder. Nothing. You briskly leave the scene, shuffle into your car and start the engine. Upon arriving at your humble abode, you slam the door behind you, startled by the sound. It seems to have snapped you out of your daze, bringing you to a more conscious state of mind. It's a very familiar feeling. The same feeling you experience every time you wake up. Your surroundings slowly become more real to you. You slowly become more self aware. Your clothes are damp from sweat, your vision is blurrier than normal, you don't even remember the drive home. It's as if you... teleported. Looking around the room, not quite sure what you're looking for, your eyes stop once they reach the clock on the wall. 11:57. "What the fuck..." Not so much a question that begs for an answer, but rather a simple declaration of bewilderment. You toss your keys in the direction of the table, not caring whether they land on it or not. You open the mysterious case, remove the Overworld disc, and place it into your Playstation console, close the lid, and press the power button. A procedure you've done so many times before, but this time, it doesn't feel so comforting. You are welcomed by the notoriously eerie startup sequence of the PS1, proceeded by a large spinning grass block accompanied by the word Loading... You feel yourself become increasingly more uneasy as the block continues to spin, and spin, and spin, and as it does so, you feel yourself starting to slip away. Before you have time to process this feeling, it stops, and the title screen presents itself to you. "Minecraft: Playstation Edition". There are 3 buttons: Play, Options, and Quit Game. Next to these options, a graphic of Steve. His eyes seem to pierce through yours, looking directly into your soul. But it's just a picture...right? The background, while perhaps unintentional, is intangibly disturbing. It appears to be some kind of mansion, expertly built, nonetheless, in a dark and foggy setting. You press play, proceeding to the World Select screen. To your surprise, there is already one world: Tutorial. You're no stranger to Minecraft, so you ignore it, eagerly jumping straight to the Create New World button. Most of the standard world creation options seem to be there, along with a virtual keyboard. You use it to name your world, then you set your gamemode, world type, difficulty, and with the controller ever so slightly trembling in your hands, you hesitate just for a second. Curiosity, anxiety, excitement, fear. All of these emotions hit you like a punch to the stomach. Your breath stops. The clock strikes 12. "Preparing for world creation. Do NOT turn off system" Enter the survival horror.

Items: a brand-new warden set of armor and tools, an upgrade to elytra and the awesome sculk transmitter! Mobs: 8 new mobs, including a miniboss! To enter the Otherside, kill the warden and use its heart. Play the mod to find more content and explore hidden mysteries!

No complicated magic systems, no forced combat or exploration: Only Factories!

This started out as a simple little thing I was putting together for my own server and friends, and since then it's turned into something pretty ridiculous. I've gotten some requests about releasing it as a modpack so here it is. RLCraft, the RL standing for Real Life or Realism and is a take on another mod I made for Unreal called RLCoop that generally has a similar goal, is my interpretation of what I've always wanted in Minecraft when it comes to pure survival, adventuring and RPG, and immersion. I hand selected many mods and individually tweaked each and every one to fit the exact play-style I was looking for, making sure they all worked fluidly with each other, adding my own custom scripts for various changes to vanilla behavior, etc. Bottom line is, this ain't your dad's Minecraft, and you're going to die...a lot. Just be prepared for that. This tends to happen whenever I make mods for any game for some reason...it usually ends up being unfairly difficult.

The End is a barren, depressing, bleak place. As it should be, and always will be. Nullscape is a Minecraft datapack designed to overhaul the End's generation in a way that maintains this identity - a realm of utter desolation. Nullscape will make you feel tiny and alone in the vast expanse of the End. You against the void - nothing more than that.

The Legend of Herobrine is a mod designed for modern versions of Minecraft that aims to add Herobrine to the game with many new gameplay features while also fitting in with vanilla gameplay and keeping the scary theme surrounding Herobrine.

Terralith is a Minecraft datapack designed to fundamentally overhaul the overworld with new biomes and caves. It accomplishes this without adding any new blocks, making it fully compatible with vanilla clients.

Better than Adventure is a mod for Minecraft Beta 1.7.3. It was originally intended to add a few new features for a personalised experience, but has since grown into a full-fledged fork of Minecraft, adding dozens of new features for players to enjoy. Its philosophy is to add new gameplay that enhances and improves on the existing aspects of the game, without drastically changing the core experience. The question we like to ask ourselves is, "Would Mojang have added this to the vanilla game back in 2011?" If the answer is yes, it's probably a good candidate for BTA.

Crucial 2 is a modpack for Minecraft that aims to enhance the gameplay experience while maintaining the feel of vanilla Minecraft.

There are never enough mods to play. GreedyCraft is a mega hybrid modpack featuring 500+ mods (shows ~540 loaded in game). All of tech, magic and adventure aspects can be found in this pack but it's focusing mainly on adventure. At the same time, the modpack aims to completely change your Minecraft gaming experience, instead of boring grinding, you enjoy the process while making your way to the final goal. The modpack is named GreedyCraft because it's for the greedy modpack searchers that are never satisfied with the amount of features a modpack can provide! If you have ever attempted to add all of your favorite mods together but then give up because they keep crashing and don't work together, this modpack is definitely for you. The amount of mods does not make the modpack sound any better, the main point is to make this big amount of mods to work together and form a clear route that the player can follow to gain progress and fun constantly, instead of facing a lot of mods and don't know what to do. That's what GreedyCraft aims to do - we stage the mods behind a progression system and a questline so the player can clearly know what to do. We make boring and repetitive work that is found in almost every mod optional, and simplify the non-optional ones, so the player don't immediately get boring at the moment they look at the recipes. We also aim to produce chemical reactions between mods, which means when some mods are put together they can provide unexpectedly good results, the third person mode in this modpack is an example. Additionally, we add tons of customized stuff, QoL changes and graphic improvements to make you feel completely different from other modpacks. In short, this modpack isn't about putting a lot of mods together and make sure it can run. It's optimized, and heavily modified, adding lots of new custom content and balancing all of the mods together. We aim to make all of these mods work together and form a unique progression system, associations between mods are not just recipes, but in many different ways.

Drehmal: APOTHEOSIS is a massive, one of a kind Minecraft survival/adventure map with a heavy emphasis on exploration. Originally released in 2020 by Keeko & Rift as Drehmal: PRIMORDIAL, the APOTHEOSIS update has been in development for more than 3 years with support from a team of more than 15 incredibly talented developers. APOTHEOSIS transforms Drehmal into a fully realized experience. The update introduces a complete main story and plot alongside tons of vanilla-friendly gameplay mechanics to make Drehmal a highly ambitious, one-of-a-kind Minecraft experience.

Enhanced Celestials is a mod that aims to improve the overall environment of the night by adding lunar events such as Blood moons & Harvest moons! Expect fresh lunar content with each coming update!

Alex's Mobs is a Forge mod that adds 89 new mobs to Minecraft. All of these mobs fall into either two categories: most of them are real world creatures, like Grizzly Bears, Roadrunners, Orcas, etc; but some of them are purely fictional, like the Endergade and Bone Serpent. All of these creatures fulfill a necessary purpose, and either have unique drops, mechanics or functions, as there are no purely aesthetic creatures. That said, they also help make some environments in the game feel more alive. The models, textures, animations and AI are all stylistically compatible with the vanilla game's latest additions.

Better End is a mod for Minecraft that adds improvements to the End dimension into Minecraft, including over 24 new biomes and structures. The mod even adds in new items, such as wood types and other alternatives to overworld materials.

Ars Nouveau is a magic mod for Minecraft inspired by Ars Magicka that allows players to craft their own spells, create magical artifacts, perform rituals, and much more.

Incendium is a Minecraft datapack designed to completely overhaul the Nether using only vanilla blocks. In addition to extending the Nether's generation height to 192, Incendium adds 8 all-new biomes and 9 new structures with new custom mobs, items, and advancements. Terrain is also overhauled, with jagged mountains, twisting caves, and much more.

The ultimate goal of Generality is to get all of the mods working seamlessly together. When finished, this pack will create an experience that feels like its own video game, totally separate from Minecraft.

Also, you will find bees are extremely protective of their honey in this dimension. If you mine vanilla's Honey Block, destroy or take honey from Honeycomb Brood Block, or you hit a bee, all bees around you will get many buffs and will become VERY angry at you because you now have the Wrath of the Hive effect! But by feeding bees or the Honeycomb Brood Blocks with the honey foods that you have, you might be able to calm them down. By feeding bees or that brood block, you get Protection of the Hive that makes bees defend you against anyone attacking you! (You can nerf the bees in the config if you find them too strong or buff them if you want to die!)
