“Old Man Link” is paid a visit by an old acquaintance but what’s precipitated this visit? Why, another adventure of course… But why indeed? Featuring the following changes to A Link to the Past: New Sprites Three New Dungeons A White Beard A cute little Minish garbed in full armor Picasso’s Peace Dove A Buzzing Hero A Capra Hircus and so much more… Take courage. Experience “Link” with a voice(gasp), stripped of sword and youth(double gasp). Rely on wisdom(or save state(no you’re better than that(but it’s so convenient(fair enough)))) to not soft lock the game from that bomb puzzle(triple gasp to admit the game’s broken so brazenly).

This hack has a small overworld, but it is filled to the brim with every item in the game along with 9 dungeons in total. Every single cave and house is redesigned, and there are a bunch of graphic edits and palette changes. As with 18 Hours Past, there’s kind of a story set in place but it’s not the main focus of the game. There are some custom events though that relate to the story, so the creator at least tried to put more of a story in.

Meadow of Shadows is a short hack of the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past made under an 18 hour timer as apart of a challenge between myself, JaredBrian, Letterbomb, and Zarby89. The game features three dungeons and a final gauntlet area. It showcases the abilities of the ZScream editor and acts as a prequel to the upcoming Oracle of Secrets ROM hack.

The Legend of Zelda: The Shadow’s Fall is a short 2-4 hour long hack that was made over the course of 18 hours as part of a casual challenge between Letterbomb, Zarby89, Scawful, and Jared_Brian_. Each had to design the entirety of the overworld, dungeons, story, ASM, and everything else in between with the 18-hour time limit, only allowing extra time for testing and bug fixing.

A Zelda 3 hack made on a 18 hour timer. contains 3.5 dungeons, a new overworld to explore, new caves, puzzles, and story Items for 100% Completion:9 Hearts, L3 Sword, L2 Shield, Silver Bow, Cane of Somaria, Hammer, Hookshot, Power Gloves, Pegasus Boots, 1 Bottle, Bug Net, Flippers, Lamp, Book of Mudora, All Pendants

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Redux is a fork of Conn & qwertymodo’s A Link to the Past DX hack that further modifies the game to include changes to accommodate the game into the overall franchise, as well as renaming stuff badly translated and making changes for characters with official artwork not matching with the sprites/palettes in-game.

The Legend of Zelda: Secrets of the Past is an hack made by superskuj. It’s a small/medium sized new quest, featuring all new dungeons, story and a new over-world with a relatively low difficulty, though there are multiple puzzles that will challenge your mind.

A Link to the Islands is a Wind Waker-inspired hack of A Link to the Past. It was originally called Lyra Islands and developed by SePH in 2004-2005, but it wasn’t finished. In 2015, the Lyra Islands project was once again restarted with the goal of finishing the game one day. New overworlds and dungeons were made, and the original LTTP graphics were restored. The project was eventually renamed A Link to the Islands.

This prototype is an is an interpretation of various development phases of the game based on the Alttp prototype assets. This is not an authentic prototype nor does it represent a single or specific point of development. This is a result of 4 months (maybe 5) of “behind the scenes” hard work, a few assembly hacks and fixes etc. This game was known as A Link To The Past and only has been renamed into A Link To The Proto for the release to stand on it’s own. There is a lot of changes, prototype assets that made it into the game, but unfortunately due to the multiple iterations of the same tilesets and a rather limited space for graphics, only a few select ones made it into the reconstruction. But still, there is a lot of places to explore and many unseen things to discover from the proto content that was cut from the final vanilla game by Nintendo.

A romhack for Link to the Past with an edited overworld and new dungeons

As everyone knows, ALttP enforces a very linear order of the dungeons (at least until you’ve played a large part of the game). This minimizes the exploration aspect to a large extend. The goal of this hack is to remove the linearity as much as possible, without changing anything substantial. In fact, the author very much aimed at the changes being completely unnoticeable if not invisible. Obviously, it would not make sense to allow access to everything at any time. There are a few necessary “sync points” for the story: Link needs all pendants to get the Master Sword, to fight Aghanim, to transfer to the Dark World. Link needs all crystals to access Ganon’s tower. Etc. Thus the goal is to allow an “as arbitrary as possible” order for getting the crystals and pendants, respectively.

Project ReLink: A Link To The Past, Layout & Logic Modification Hack. ReLink is an expansive Romhack for ALTTP which modifies both Overworld areas and Dungeons to change the required items needed for progression through the game. While none of the locations you acquire unique items have changes, the places where you use them has. ReLink opens up much of the darkworld earlier, allowing players greater freedom in choosing where they want to go and when. All of these changes and edits to the game are meant to be used alongside the randomizer in the future.

Inspired by the movie cube, this hack was made as one giant dungeon, which has 10×10 Hyrule Magic rooms. Thus the entire game is one big dungeon, which you need to solve in one sitting and no deaths. Can you do it? Can you find the exit? This is a short hack, which will sometimes force you to think hard before you will be able to progress, but for the most part is still on par with the difficulty of the original game, with hints when special tricks are needed to progress.

Are you ready to play a brand new Zelda 3 adventure? Better yet ... Are you ready to play a brand new Conker adventure? Initially built as a spiritual sequel to Parallel Worlds, this project has evolved so much overtime that eventually it became an unofficial sequel to an M Rated game that was released late in the Nintendo 64 lifespan, none other than Conker's Bad Fur Day! Including all the same crude humor found in that Conker game and the many references to movies and games we've come to love. For obvious reasons, it is also rated ''AO for Adults Only''!

The Legend of Zelda: Goddess of Wisdom follows the original design of ‘Zelda3 Goddess of Wisdom’ but is edited to create a more comprehensive experience for novice and/or expert players that feels akin to something Nintendo would release. This hack built upon the framework created in ‘Zelda3 Goddess of Wisdom’ with all due respect to the original author(s), and is made to correct some of the issues observed in the final ‘Zelda3 Goddess of Wisdom’ release.

The final installment of the IQ series, The Revenge of the Einstein, includes some of the most difficult block puzzles ever created in a Zelda game. The already existing puzzles from the IQ and Conker, which were considered to be of a better design, were used in this game and remodeled to be even more difficult, yet some rare puzzles are brand new. A very short hack with very difficult riddles, which will test the limits of your intellect, while still being beatable if you invest enough time into solving. The hack also has some “breathing rooms”, in which you don’t need to think much to proceed.
