This rating has been given because it features graphic violence, violence against vulnerable and defenceless characters, and use of strong language. Brief outline of the game Government agent Leon S. Kennedy gets more than he bargained for when a rescue mission turns into a life-or-death struggle against a bloodthirsty cult, a gruesome plague, and a malevolent conspiracy. He must use his wits to battle the infected and get himself and his charge home alive. Content specific issues Gameplay contains strong, graphic violence throughout, featuring decapitations, dismemberment and mutilation. There are also scenes in which defenceless human characters are killed in gruesome ways, including being tied to a stake and immolated. The game also includes use of strong language ('fuck'). Other issues This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, in the form of additional costumes, weapons, and background music, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers, or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child.
