If you've been relying on rapid GDF expansion, you'll need to adjust your build orders. This latest patch specifically targets the GDF Harvester, reducing the Tempest Refinery dropoff rate to 220 Credits per second, down from the previous 260. While 40 credits might seem minor on paper, the cumulative effect over a standard RTS match significantly slows down the GDF's ability to tech up or mass-produce late-game units.
Movement is also seeing a slight adjustment. The Harvester's acceleration has been dialed back to 415 from 425. According to the developers at Slipgate Ironworks, this is a partial correction to changes made in a previous patch, ensuring the heavy resource-gatherers feel appropriately weighty and aren't zipping across the map too efficiently.
Beyond the numbers, the update addresses a frustrating mechanical quirk that has been plagueing GDF commanders. Previously, Harvesters could become physically stuck inside the Refinery if power production dipped during the delivery animation. This bug effectively killed your economy and required manual intervention to clear the path. This hotfix ensures that even if your power grid flickers, your logistics chain won't grind to a halt.
While the Dynasty faction remains untouched in this specific update, GDF players will definitely feel the pinch in the early-to-mid game meta. Managing your Harvester count and protecting your refineries is now more critical than ever given the reduced income ceiling.
