Grinding Gear Games has confirmed that after the update, essential combat buffs including Rage, Fortify, most charges, and active Shrines will persist when you enter or exit Mirage areas. For builds that rely on ramp-up time or expensive soul-based mechanics, this is a massive quality-of-life win. To make the transition even smoother, a new shockwave stun will trigger the moment you enter a Mirage, giving you a split second to breathe before the monsters close in.
The Atlas is also getting a significant UI/UX overhaul. Managing your endgame progression should feel much snappier with improved Map Device interactions and clearer visual feedback. A particularly clever addition is the new toggle mechanic for currency usage; holding Alt while using a Chaos Orb will now toggle to an Exalted Orb, streamlining the crafting process for high-end gear.
Beyond the mechanical polish, the patch addresses several lingering bugs that have been haunting Wraeclast's most dangerous encounters. Players can expect fixes for specific interactions with Harvest, the Nightmare of Lycia, and the Incarnation of Dread. These fixes, alongside several client crash resolutions, aim to stabilize the experience for those pushing deep into the current league's endgame content.
While this isn't a massive balance overhaul, the focus on persistence and UI clarity shows that GGG is listening to how the community actually plays the Mirage mechanics. Expect the update to deploy later this week.
