The headline feature is undoubtedly the introduction of 16 newly reworked raid scenes. For players who have been building fleets, the tactical landscape has shifted; you no longer need to find a landing spot and march inland to harass the enemy. If your fleet consists of shallow draft ships and at least 15 troops, you can now initiate raids directly from seas and rivers.
Beyond the pillaging, coastal villages have received a significant utility buff. You can now make port to trade, recruit, and resupply without the tedious process of disembarking your entire army. This streamlines naval logistics, making maritime-focused playthroughs finally feel like a viable alternative to traditional land-based conquest.
Combat balance hasn't been ignored in this patch either. The Nord Berserkir troop has seen a notable equipment overhaul. Their cloak armor has been buffed from 14 to 20, increasing their survivability in the thick of the fray. However, they have traded their swords for axes, leaning further into their identity as hard-hitting shock infantry.
On the technical side, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord core version 1.4.1 includes several UI refinements. Most notably, the level progress bar has been reintroduced to the Character screen, a small but essential quality-of-life fix for those of us obsessed with tracking our XP gains toward the next attribute point.
