The Chase the Skies update has introduced the Happy Ghast, a massive aerial mount that completely changes how players handle logistics and group travel. Unlike its fire-breathing cousins, the Happy Ghast is a friendly companion capable of carrying up to four players at once, making it the first true multi-passenger flight option in the game.
Bringing one of these into your world isn't as simple as finding a spawn point. You'll need to head to the Nether and collect eight Ghast Tears and one block of Soul Sand. By mashing these together, you create a Dried Ghast. This item must then be taken to the Overworld and placed in shallow water. The rehydration process is a test of patience, taking roughly 20 minutes before a small 'Ghastling' emerges. Once it's out, keep your snowballs ready—feeding them to the Ghastling is the only way to help it mature into its full, rideable form.
Beyond acting as a bus for your adventuring party, the Happy Ghast is a powerhouse for resource management. By using leads, players can harness the mob to tow cargo. This isn't limited to just chests; you can pull boats with chests, horses, or even the bulky Sniffers across the sky. For builders working on massive scale projects, this eliminates the tedious back-and-forth travel usually required to move rare mobs or full inventories of materials. While the Bedrock Edition has seen many additions since the Better Together Update, the Happy Ghast stands out as a genuine game-changer for sky-based survival and exploration.
