While most developers spend their time fighting cheats, the Inzoi team understands that in a life simulation sandbox, "cheating" is actually just another layer of creative control. The team is currently building a dedicated Cheat GUI (Graphical User Interface) that will allow us to manipulate the game world without jumping through technical hoops. This move acknowledges that sometimes you just want to bypass the grind to tell a specific story.
The more significant technical hurdle being tackled is the integration of Lua scripting for modders. The developers have assigned additional resources to accelerate this progress, as connecting the game's complex internal functions to an external scripting language is no small feat. Once implemented, this will go far beyond simple cosmetic swaps, allowing modders to create entirely new gameplay behaviors and complex systems.
For a game that positions the player as a divine entity, these updates are essential. Giving us the tools to rewrite the internal logic of the world fits perfectly with the "god-sim" perspective. The team noted that many of the goals set at the start of the year are already taking shape, signaling a strong development pace as we move toward the 2025 release and beyond into 2026. Expect more details on the ModKit expansion once the team returns from the holiday break.
