The most standout fix involves our furry companions. A bug was causing pets to incorrectly consume wood and ore that players gathered using tools. In a world where every resource counts toward rebuilding the Greymanes, having your pet snack on your hard-earned crafting materials was a major setback. This hotfix puts an end to the resource-munching, ensuring your inventory stays intact after a long session of gathering.
Controller players will notice a subtle but important quality-of-life change. The button to change pet or horse names has been moved from R3/RS to L3/LS. It’s a small tweak, but it should prevent those accidental menu triggers during intense traversal or combat. Additionally, the team has patched out a stamina recovery exploit that allowed players to regain energy while sprinting, bringing the survival mechanics back in line with the intended challenge of the Pywel continent.
Combat and customization also received attention. Character-specific fixes have been deployed for Kliff’s Focused Aerial Roll and Damiane’s Blinding Flash to ensure skills trigger as intended. For those who enjoy the visual side of the RPG, a crash related to the dyeing and customization systems has been resolved. If you’re playing as Oongka or Damiane, you’ll also find that ranged targeting now works correctly on standard NPCs even when a boss is present, fixing a targeting priority issue that was making crowd control during boss fights a nightmare.
This patch is currently rolling out across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. While it’s a smaller hotfix compared to the massive 1.04.00 update, these technical refinements are vital for keeping the momentum of Kliff’s journey feeling smooth and rewarding.
