The most immediate visual change is the addition of the Weapon Display option. Players can finally customize how their gear appears when sheathed, a major win for those of us who spent hours in the character creator only to have our outfits obscured by bulky shields or claymores. Beyond aesthetics, the mobility in Pywel has seen a massive buff. The Abyss Nexus teleportation system is no longer restricted to standing still; you can now trigger fast travel while mounted, swimming, climbing, or even mid-fall.
Combat and exploration are also evolving with new character-specific skills. Kliff receives the Focused Aerial Roll, adding more verticality and safety to his movement. Not to be left behind, companions Damiane and Oongka have received new open-world abilities that should make navigating the rugged terrain and Greymane camps much smoother. These additions feel like a direct response to player feedback regarding the flow of exploration.
On the technical front, the PC version on Steam has been bolstered with support for Intel XeSS 3.0 with Frame Generation and AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2. Console players haven't been ignored either, as the update introduces Enhanced Raytracing and PSSR Sharpness to clean up the image quality in denser areas like Pailune. The patch also addresses several frustrations with boss lock-on mechanics and UI clarity, ensuring that the challenge comes from the enemies themselves rather than the interface.
