This isn't just a visual polish; it is a fundamental shift in how the game operates. The most significant change for long-time survivors is the unification of the map. The Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah are being merged into one single, seamless world. For the first time, you won't have to choose between the classic desert plateau and the storm-wracked island—you can conquer both in one session.
However, this migration comes with a strict deadline for those currently established on the island. If you have a base on official Isle of Siptah servers, you must dismantle your structures before May 4, 2026. While your characters, DLC, and Crom Coins will transfer to the Enhanced version, existing buildings on Siptah will not survive the merger. If you prefer the current experience, the original game will remain available under the new title Conan Exiles Legacy, though it will stay on the older Unreal Engine 4.
The move to UE5 targets a much-needed performance boost, with the developers aiming for a stable 60+ FPS and official Steam Deck support. Beyond the engine swap, the update introduces several quality-of-life features that the community has requested for years:
- Multiple Character Slots: Manage several builds on a single account without external workarounds.
- Revamped UI: A cleaner interface designed for better navigation during high-stakes combat.
- Enhanced Crafting: Streamlined mechanics to reduce the friction of mid-game progression.
For PC players with the hardware to support it, this upgrade represents a total transformation of the survival loop. By merging the maps, Funcom is effectively doubling the playable area and creating a much more cohesive sandbox for clan warfare and exploration.
