Exchange Ads for Premium Currency
The economy change is simple: watching one ad rewards you with one Star. Innersloth implemented this feature specifically to address player feedback regarding the accessibility of premium currency. Previously, Stars were exclusively locked behind real-money purchases, gating specific cosmetic bundles and Cosmicubes from the free-to-play player base.
This rollout is currently staggering across mobile devices. If you don't see the option immediately, it likely hasn't hit your region or device group yet as the developers monitor the deployment.
Will ads interrupt gameplay tasks?
No. The developers have explicitly confirmed that this system does not intrude on the core gameplay loop. You won't be forced to watch a video while trying to fix wiring or run from an Impostor in electrical. The ad interface is located within the shop menu, making it a purely voluntary transaction for players looking to bolster their Star count.
This update remains exclusive to the mobile versions of the game for now, with no confirmation on if or how a similar system could function on console or PC platforms.
