The standout addition in this patch is the Tow to Road feature. We’ve all been there—miscalculating a tight turn in Nevada or getting high-centered on a curb. Previously, this meant a total tow back to the nearest city, often killing your profit margins and wasting precious time. Now, by hitting the default F7 key, you can be reset directly onto the asphalt for a small fee, keeping your delivery on track without the massive detour.
Speaking of detours, SCS Software has temporarily disabled the Detour feature for maintenance. While it’s a bummer for those who love the unpredictability of road closures, the developers are focusing on stability upgrades to ensure the system works better when it eventually returns. To compensate for the UI clutter, the update also introduces dedicated Damage and Finances widgets for the Route Advisor. This is a massive quality-of-life win, letting you check your bank balance or truck health at a glance without digging through menus.
The Skills screen has also received a complete visual overhaul. The new UX redesign makes it significantly easier to navigate using a controller and provides much better clarity on how your XP investments are actually affecting your career progression. Whether you are hauling hazmat or focusing on long-distance efficiency, the path to becoming an owner-operator feels more intuitive than ever. If you're ready to test these changes, you can opt into the beta via the Steam properties menu.
