A couple of friends and I have been working hard at a Pokémon Crystal ROM hack for the past year or so and it's finally complete!
In this game, all of the Pokémon have been reworked... think Alolan/Galarian forms, for all the Pokémon. All 251 Pokémon are available in-game without trading, too. We've reworked all of the trainers and wild encounters to fit as well. In addition, there have been a few visual tweaks, and we've added a few new places to explore, too!

Pokémon: Fool's Gold is a 2020 ROM hack Mod built on *Pokémon Crystal Version*, offering an RPG/TBS experience on the Game Boy Color. You embark on a familiar journey through Johto, but the core gameplay loop is altered as all Gold/Silver Pokémon feature reworked types and stats, similar to regional variants. This modification includes minor visual tweaks and new explorable areas, providing a novel mechanical challenge within a nostalgic framework.
