PlanetSide, released in 2003, is a pioneering MMOFPS where you join one of three factions fighting for territorial control across the planet Auraxis. Gameplay centers on massive, persistent battles involving hundreds of players focused on capturing strategic points, blending RPG specialization (infantry, medic, engineer) with first-person shooter action. Unlike typical matches, your actions impact the entire world state. Note: This title ceased operations in July 2016.
