Centipede is a classic, vertically-oriented Arcade Shooter released in 1981. In this main game, you defend an enchanted forest's mushroom garden by moving horizontally and shooting upwards to eliminate a segmented centipede descending the screen. Distinctive features include the enemy splitting upon being hit and environmental hazards like mushrooms that are destroyed or poisoned by accompanying spiders and scorpions.
